The Fachgebiet Technische Thermodynamik hosts the following three research groups

• Process Analysis and Spectroscopy
• Thermophysical Properties / Complex Systems
• Evaporation Technology / Seawater Desalination

covering a broad range of fundamental and applied research. A key objective is to bridge the gap between the investigation of phenomena at the molecular/microscopic level and the macroscopic properties of a material or a technical process.
